VR: Who is Carrie Fairfield,
what makes her tick?
CF: Carrie Fairfield is a character
I invented about 10 years ago. She's got a wild look and
is always the professional.
VR: Where are you living these
days?
CF: New York City
VR: I know this is a hard question,
but can you tell us what your life has
been about?
CF: My life has been about living
- living life to the fullest and learning every step of the way.
VR: Who was your inspiration growing
up?
CF: I've always been a
huge fan of Cher - timeless - beautiful - entertaining.
The truest diva.
VR: When you were growing up and
each morning you would look in the mirror
what did you see?
CF: A very skinny kid!
HAHA
VR: Can you tell us how that wonderful
site of yours.
http://www.carriefairfield.com came about and what is all about?
CF: Carriefairfield.com was
started as a means to help me learn webdesign and HTML.
The domain was purchased for me for Christmas by my friend Scott.
The boards were added sometime later and the rest is history.
Our mission is simple - to provide a place where people can share
their experiences with the art of female impersonation.
VR: Tell us, besides being a human
being, would you consider yourself to be a
Drag Queen, Club Kid or just someone that likes to dress up and
have fun?
CF: Female impersonation
is an art - I feel as if I'm an artist. People often classify
me as a camp queen and to a point - I am - it's all supposed to
be fun - I no longer perform but it is fun to be "in it"
every now and then.
VR: Who do you admire these days?
CF: I'm meeting new entertainers
here in NYC - Cashetta, Sweetie, Miss Understood, Hedda Lettuce
- it's a new world here and one that I cann't wait to sink my teeth
into.
VR: What
has been your biggest accomplishment to date?
CF: The success of the
website has been the biggest shock
of my world so far - I never knew
that what we started would take off the way it has.
VR: Do you think you are a nice
person or do you think you can be a bitch at
times?
CF: Depends on my mood
- I think on the whole I'm fair and very bbusiness minded.
Sometimes that requires me to be a diplomat - other times I have
to be a bitch - depends on the situation really.
VR: What do you think makes you
stand out above others?
CF: Hard question
- I think the website again is the most suuccessful part of my
career. It is a unique offering to the community and one
that people have come to rely on for the most recent news and
information on the art of female impersonation.
VR: Do you get nervous when you
are asked to speak to a group or perform on
stage?
CF: Not really - I have
a theatre background so it's second nature to me.
VR: Have you ever had a true love
in life?
CF: Yes
VR: Where do you see yourself
in the future?
CF: Ask me in the future
VR: Who is your favorite fiction
character(s), in literature or in the
movies, and why?
CF: None that come to mind
VR: What words of wisdom would
you give to someone who is reaching out for
help?
CF: Listen and take everything
to heart - use what you can - discard what you can't - but listen
to everything.
VR: Do you have a final statement,
for our readers?
CF: Thank you for your
support and many kind words.

NOTE FROM VICKI RENE: I don't
know much about this person except I love her site. I do know
lots of people that do know her and what she is about and all
tell me she is real and that means a lot to me. If you want to
find the scope on any queen, female impersonator, ts or tv, check
out http://www.carriefairfield.com you just
might find your answer, then again you might find 3 or 4 differnent
