Leigh Shannon's career in female impersonation began in Louisville, KY at the Old Downtowner where he was doing impersonations of Dolly Parton and Stevie Nicks. In fact a lot of the awards and crowns he has received in the Mid-West was performances in which he transforms, with complete costume changes, from Carol Channing, Dolly Parton & Stevie Nicks in SEVEN minutes! After many years traveling around the Mid-West Leigh mmoved to Florida where he was hired by "An Evening At LaCage" in Orlando. "I went to audition for the part of Dolly and was hired to do Patsy Cline!" While at LaCage Leigh added Stevie Nicks to the show. This was a first for LaCage because none of the other shows nation wide had a Stevie Nicks in their show. Before leaving the show Leigh had a chance to do the finale, "What Makes A Man A Man" in where he changes from a beautiful showgirl to a man right on stage. He also was cast member at the Parliament House for three years and show director at Southern Nights for five years.
She also has owned Ritzy Rags Wigs & More in Orlando Florida that caters to all kinds of people but also the cross dressing community. Also travels all across Florida at different clubs.
Leigh is now also know BEST for his impersonation of Bette Midler and his Emcee work. And has recently added Elton John to his main stream act. She is know now as Florida's Leading Lady.

I met Marvin many years ago when I used to own a bar stool at the end of the bar at the world famous "Queen Mary" She was one of the performers there. I remember seeing her and saying "what a bitch she must be" Once I met her, I could not be any further from the truth, she is such a nice person and a real pussy cat. She is now working in Los Vegas, a real superstar.
UPDATE She left La Cage in LV in 1997 and moved to West Palm Beach in Florida to open her own club, it was called the Birdcage Cabaret. She also went back to LA and did some TV work on the Man Show.
After that she did a lot of workd in Europe, both Amsterdam and London and at the same time was the Show director of Missie B’s in Kansas City. I think she deserves a break and some time off, don’t you?
