Miss Dumont entertains in clubs all over New York City. She was not to be rivaled. Her performances are beyond the usual drag drudgery... she is theatrical and creative.
Her Annie Lennox medley was simply to die for, complete with costume breakaways, wig changes, etc. Miss Dumont also had a cameo in the fabulous drag escapade, "To Wong Foo: Thanks For Everything, Julie Newmar"; she is one of the contestants in the opening drag competition. It was rumored that she was actually the inspiration for John Leguizamo's character, and the main character of the trashy novel he reads throughout the film just happens to be named "Princess Laritza."
She has been performing for a decade now, and she's still going strong, and has even forayed into the world of dance music. Back in 1999, she appeared on "Body & Face" produced by Mike Cruz.
Recent club appearances include Escuelita, Stonewall and Barracuda. Dance Diva Kristine W. was quoted as saying: "Laritza DuMont does a great me. I actually took my mom to see it. We were drinking champagne and laughing our butts off."
