In 2004, the Latino Community of Seattle, a traditionally conservative organization, crowned Gia as the 11th Miss Gay Latina. During her year, Gia devoted her talents to making aids awareness her primary goal. Gia is also the youngest Miss Gay Latina to win such a prestigious award.
In 2005, Gia was bestowed the title of First Lady for Life to Olympia XXXIV during the Golden Reign, House of Longevity with the Imperial Sovereign Court of Seattle, and the Olympic and Rainier Empire by Empress Asia Cache'.
Gia currently holds the title of Miss Gay Seattle XLII. Miss Gay Seattle is believed to be the oldest drag title on the West Coast, if not west of the Mississippi, predating Stonewall and the founding of the International Court System.
